Location & environment

Our bed and breakfast “La joie de vivre” is located in Tocane-Saint-Apre, a typical village of the Dordogne, on the border of Périgord Vert and Blanc.

Our region has many assets to ensure you a successful holiday. You can enjoy fine wine, local cuisine, an excursion to prehistory, stroll through the flea market or visit one of the many castles and museums. Sports enthusiasts will also find here what they are looking for: kayaking, tennis, cycling, golf, hiking, petanque, horse riding … Various hiking and cycling routes cross Tocane-Saint-Apre and its immediate surroundings.

In the surroundings you will find among others many beautiful towns and villages. Brantôme, Périgueux, Bourdeilles, Aubeterre, … Day trips to Bordeaux, Saint-Emillion, Rocamadour, Sarlat, … are also perfectly possible. We are happy to help you plan your trip.

Of course, you can also just enjoy our heated pool. Although our B & B is located in the center of the village, our large garden (10,000 m²) offers enough places to enjoy peace and quiet.
